Due to major ICT Disaster Recovery testing, the on-line archive catalogue will be unavailable from 6pm Friday 7 November 2008 until 7.30am Monday 10 November 2008 and from 6pm Friday 28 November 2008 until 7.30am Monday 1 December 2008.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Record Office does not provide birth, marriage or death certificates. To obtain these you will need to contact:

  • For LEICESTER : Superintendent Registrar, Register Office, Town Hall, Leicester.  Tel. 0845 0450901.
  • For RUTLAND : Superintendent Registrar, Register Office, Catmose, Oakham, Rutland LE15 6JU. Tel. 0152 756547 or 756563.
