Leicestershire's Open Museum is a 'museum without walls' that can deliver museum
collections and displays to your communities and your venues. The Open Museum Operates 3 loans schemes
and also facilitates community projects. We always try and tailor our services as closely as possible
to our many users
The Open Museum has 3 schemes and we can lend you works of art, objects, and small
ready-made displays:
Artworks
A collection of over 900 original works of art including paintings, original prints,
drawings, sculptures, textiles and photographs.

their own displays and carry out their own projects.

Who can use the Open Museum?
Regular users of the Open Museum include Leicestershire schools, colleges, libraries,
youth, local history and heritage groups, community and special interest groups as well as a range of
local organisations who provide lifelong learning opportunities and activities that can benefit from
the use of historic objects, art and displays. If your type of organisation isn’t mentioned, don’t
worry, as long as you operate in Leicestershire we will do our best to help.
