Bosworth Battlefield's galleries showcase
archaeological
finds from the battlefield and tells the amazing story of how archaeologists found the true location
of the Battle of Bosworth Field, 525 years after the battle took place. They will
transport you on a journey through Medieval England in the interactive exhibition, witness the horrors
of medieval warfare in the Battle Room and then test your skills as an archaeologist, in the BFI Science
Laboratory. Visitors can also see Ambion Parva - a fascinating replica Medieval Village - during special
event days.

Explore
Snibston's main galleries to find out about design, technology, science and engineering innovations
in Leicestershire and the region. Snibston's Galleries include the ExtraOrdinary
Gallery, Light Fantastic, the Toybox Gallery, the Transport, Engineering and Extractive Galleries and
the Fashion Gallery. There are also outdoor Play Areas and Tours and
Rides available.
The museum is based in a Medieval Manor House
dating back
to 1280. The house has a fascinating history and is now restored with fine oak furnishings, visitors
to the house can now see restored rooms and displays on medieval life. Donington also has a computer
based virtual tour, a free audio guide and interactive activities. The house is set in recently recreated
17th century style gardens with flower gardens, an orchard, herb gardens and a maze.
The Museum's displays include the Hallaton
Treasure
(a fantastic new exhibition displaying the nationally important Iron Age and Roman finds), the Battle
of Naseby, Symington products, Harboro Rubber Company, Falkner’s Boot and Shoe Making Workshop, 18th
century long case clock and 17th century toys found in the local church. There are also displays featuring
Railways in Market Harborough, Working in the corset factory and Harborough during the wars.

Charnwood
Museum features a wide range of exhibits reflecting the history, geology, archaeology and industries
of Charnwood and the surrounding area. Permanent displays include ‘Coming to Charnwood’, ‘The Natural
World of Charnwood’, ‘Living off the Land’ and ‘Earning a Living’. Visitors can handle rocks from Charnwood’s
volcanic past, walk beneath the giant oak tree, investigate the 4,000 year old burial of the Cossington
Boy, visit the Victorian grocers shop or zoom-in on a fly’s eye with the video microscope.
