
A look at the history
of Leicestershire’s Roads and the work of the County Council to maintain and improve the County’s transport
links.
The Taking to the Roads Exhibition will look
at the history of the county’s roads from Prehistoric times through Roman road building to present day
transportation themes such as road safety and public transport, with items on display dating back thousands
of years. See More Information about the Exhibition.
The
Road Safety section of the exhibition will spark a few memories
as it features childhood heroes from the Tufty Club, and 70s favourite the Green Cross Code man.
The
touring exhibition will also have a construction themed play area and quizzes for children to take part
in.
