Learn about the lives of rich and poor Tudor people at Christmas time by travelling back to Christmastide 1587.

Standard Visit

Activities
  • Experience the atmosphere, sights and smells of a Manor House traditionally decorated for Christmas
  • Meet costumed characters as they prepare for Christmastide at the Manor House
  • Get ‘hands-on’ in the period Kitchen and Great Chamber and take home a memento
  • Find out about Christmas feasts and customs for rich and poor people, including enjoying a traditional wassail ‘toast’
  • Spend the afternoon (independently) looking around the Manor House and taking part in some Tudor activities
