Availability: Various dates,
throughout the year.
‘Explore’ sessions are exploratory workshops developed
in consultation with SEN teachers specifically designed for children with Special Educational Needs. Explore sessions are ideal for children attending special schools who have severe or moderate learning
disabilities and who may have complex needs.

By
being in an authentic setting, pupils are given the opportunity to experience life in the 16th and 17th
century. Led by our costumed staff pupils can really engage in the session activities which include:

Tudor Life
- Discover and interact with Tudor artefacts
- Get hands-on in the Tudor Kitchen– make pomander bags, prepare ingredients, try Tudor cleaning
- Experience Tudor music and dance
- Dress up in period costume
Explore:
Stuart Life
- Meet the plague doctor and discover some unusual artefacts
- Write or mark-make with a quill pen
- Get hands-on in the kitchen preparing the bread and making plague remedies
- Dress up in period costume
