School Visits - Local History (Victorian)

Availability: Various dates, throughout the year.

Activities
Pupils learn about the homes, lifestyles and occupations of people living in Loughborough in late Victorian times.
Pupils learn about real Victorian families – based on census data from the time.
Part 1: Take part in a town trail looking at homes and buildings from the time (resources provided).
Part 2: Take part in an artefact handling session based around the lives and occupations of people who lived in Loughborough over a hundred years ago.
Part 3: Related gallery activities are also provided to accompany this session.
Local History also involves a 1 hour self-led walking trail of Loughborough which links with the museum session
(information and resources supplied by us).
Duration Full Day (4 – 4 ½ hours)
Students Up to 35 pupils
