Family Learning Festival 2009
Food was the theme for activities that took place in libraries across Leicestershire for the Family Learning Festival during October 2009. Over 2100 people took part in events across the County and 120 took part in a competition to create their favourite family recipe.Favourite Family Feast Competition

Runners up received a fantastic family cook book.
- Recipes were judged by staff from Leicestershire Library Services and Leicestershire's School Meal Service who were impressed with the team work and creativity that had gone into many of the entries.
- Thank you to all the families that took part in the competition.
- A display of the winning recipes and a selection of ‘the best of the rest’ toured libraries in the New Year
