About the Library

new Oadby library
Oadby Library will be closed from 8 - 15 March 2010 to allow for the introduction of self-issue. The library will re-open on Tuesday 16 March.
This is the main library in the Oadby area and Sharon Clayton, the library manager, is based here.  Larger collections can be found at Wigston and Leicester Central Libraries.

Events/What's On

Wriggly Readers Story and Rhyme Time.  0-4 years with parents or carers.  Every Wednesday and Sunday 2.00 - 2.30pm.
Junk It! Tuesday 16th February drop in between 10.30 - 12.00noon. Crafts and activities for families using recycleable material.  Please bring any recycling that you can use.
Internet coaching sessions for beginners.  Wednesdays 11.00 - 12.00 noon, Fridays 2.00 - 3.00pm.

Listen While You Lunch. - Enjoy Lunchtime talks at Oadby Library 12.15pm -1.00pm
  • Thursday 4 March - Out on a Limb, growing up on one leg, with local author Harry Wade.
  • Thursday 15 April - The six wives of Henry VIII, with Sally Henshaw

Knit and Stitch sessions at Oadby LibraryKnit and Stitch
Join us in this informal group every Sunday 2.00 - 3.30pm where you can meet and make new friends. No experience needed.Wool will be available to buy at  £1.00 per ball.
Wriggly Readers
Story and Rhyme time for under 5’s and their families to encourage a love of books. Book sharing is an enjoyable and important part of children’s development. Join us for rhymes, songs and stories on the every Sunday from 2.00 - 2.30pm. Everyone welcome.
