About the Library

The new library is now open...

...with extended opening hours and improved facilities

The new library will be 50% bigger than the existing library and will improve services for library users by providing:

additional bookstock for free loan
more computers with free internet access
a separate room with 10 computers for classes and casual use
a new community meeting room
a larger area for children and young people
floorplan of the new library

This is the main library in the Oadby area and Sharon Clayton, the library manager, is based here. Larger collections can be found at Wigston and Leicester Central Libraries.

Ancestry Library Edition is available in this library free of charge to do family history research. To use this service:
