About the Library

Easter and other closures in Leicestershire Libraries

Hinckley Library is the main library in the Hinckley and Bosworth area and Carol Cowley, the library manager, is based here. It is a busy library on Lancaster Road next to the bus station. Lift to mezzanine floor and Art Gallery and the library has wide aisles.

Do you want to tip waste using a van or trailer? Did you know that you need a short term tipping permit to do this? Call the Customer Service Centre on 0116 305 0001 to apply and then collect your permit from Hinckley Library.

Events/What's On

Easter Art Competition
Also at your library this Easter from 20 March until 10 April, we will be holding a great Easter Art Competition, ‘What will hatch from your Egg?’ based on Emily Gravett’s great book, ‘The Odd Egg’. Age categories - 0 - 8 years and 9 - 12 years. Great prizes for the most imaginative hatchlings! Call in for an entry form.

Wriggly Readers Story and Rhyme Time. 0-4 years with parents or carers. Every Tuesday. 9.45 - 10.15am and 10.45 - 11.15am Two identical sessions - please choose one.

Chatterbooks. A reading group for any 9 -12 year olds. who like to chat about books. Meets most months after school

Introduction to Internet and Email. Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 5.00pm. One-to-one sessions by arrangement.
