Sapcote Library and Sapcote Heritage Group

Sapcote Library has fostered a strong link with the village Heritage Group who now have several items on permanent display in the library.
The items include copies of the following:
  • Approximately 200 A4 size pictures of Sapcote people and places of the past 100 years
  • Sapcote census returns from 1841 to 1901
  • Sapcote Methodist Baptism records 1807 to 1994
  • Sapcote School admittance register for the period 1930 to 1978 the wartime period shows where evacuees were repatriated to.
  • A continuous PowerPoint presention of 210 pictures showing the village past and present.
  • Various booklets containing memories of the village and village life.
  • A display of heritage group photographs featuring one particular area or aspect of village life.  This is changed once a month.
  • Pictures showing the 312 species found on the Sapcote Parish 2006 Flora Survey.
  • Set of microfiche covering the Sapcote Parish Records. These include Baptisms 1564-1971, Marriages 1579-July 2000 and Burials 1579-Dec 1918
