The Historic Buildings team answer planning enquiries about how a planning application might affect a special (listed) building or conservation area.

We distribute County Council grants that help Leicestershire business and home owners to repair and restore their historic buildings.

We advise owners and local authorities on the materials and methods needed to protect and repair our local historic buildings.

Work valued at over £200,000 is supported by grants from the team.
