The National Forest Woodland Economy Business Support Programme (WEBS)

The programme operates in Leicestershire and Derbyshire areas of The National Forest and the main aim is to assist in creating and developing new and existing forest related businesses. This will lead to greater economic benefits to the Forest, the creation of more woodland related jobs and opportunities, and help develop a sound economic base for the Forest.
The programme offers assistance in four ways:
Business Development
The programme has an experienced business adviser familiar with small and growing buisnesses, particulary with issues realting to woodland enterprisees.
The WEBS Team offers advice on any aspect of business from marketing to finance, operations to ICT and more.
Catalyst Grant
£80,000 of funding available to businesses involved in commercial activities directly connected with woodlands or wood products within The National Forest.
The grant typically offers up to 75% funding to a maximum of £5,000.
Training
Businesses wishing to increase their skills and experience can apply for assistance with training in woodland and wood fuel related skills.
Wood Fuel
Support is available to undertake studies to determine the design, feasibility, and expected needs for the installation of wood fuel systems in a variety of buildings and property.
