Ecology

We are uniquely linked to the National Biodiversity Network, which collects information about the wildlife of the whole UK from centres like LERC.*
We are increasingly contributing to regional data and reviews.  This part of our work will grow in the future.*
We hold the official list of Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINCs) or Local Wildlife Sites.  Each year we and colleagues visit them and check they are still rich in wildlife.  Leicestershire has very good relations with the owners of SINCs
We help students and researchers with their research;  we get new information back from many of the people we help.
