Preferred Options ConsultationRecent Consultation StageRecently, a re-consultation on the waste and minerals core strategy was held
between 19th October 2007 and 5pm on 30th November 2007.
Previous Consultation StageThe Issues & Options version of the minerals and waste development framework
documents went out to consultation between 20th June 2005 and 1st August 2005. The documents and
responses received can be viewed via the link below.
CabinetPrior to any documents going out for consultation the development plan documents
went before the County Council's Cabinet for approval. The Waste and Minerals Development Frameworks
were considered and approved by Cabinet on 26th July 2006. The minutes of the Cabinet meeting
can be found via the link below.
AdvertisementThe County Council placed an advert in the local papers on the week ending 11th
August advertsing the preferred options consultation and the dates and locations of public exhibitions
to be held. Click here for the preferred options advert.
Consultation DocumentsThe consultation ran for 6 weeks, from 25th August 2006 to 6th October 2006. The

Representations FormsRepresentations could be made either in written or electronic forms. Both
forms can be viewed below.
ExhibitionsExhibtions on the documents and specific allocated sites were held at the following
locations between 14:00 and 19:30, except where indicated.
WorkshopGovernment agencies, members of industry and adjoining district and county councils
were invited to a workshop held on 18th September 2006 at County Hall, Glenfield. A list of attendees
and electronic versions of the posters developed from 'round table' discussions.
ResponsesResponses were made to the Council via a variety of ways; by letter, be using our
response forms (minerals response form and waste response form) or our electronic response form. Responses
received are available below, categorised by organisation making the response or grouped by the main
issue to which the response was about.
