Leicestershire Minerals local plan Review - Written Statement - May 1995

At its meeting on 29 March 1995, the County Council resolved to adopt the Leicestershire Minerals Local Plan review in accordance with the provisions of Section 43 of the Town and County Planning Act 1990. The Plan became operative on 5 May 1995.
This document comproses the Written Statement and Proposals Map of the Local Plan as originally approved by the County Council in June 1992, but subsequently modified in September 1994 in the light of objections received and in response to recommendations contained in the report of the Inspector appointed to hold a Public Local Inquiry into the Plan in September/October 1993, and further amended in March 1995 in response to objections to proposed modifications published in November 1994
Due to the large size of the Local Plan Document - we have broken it down into sections for easier downloading:

Under the new system of Development Plans introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, the County Council has to prepare Minerals and Waste Development Frameworks (MWDF). These replace the existing Minerals and Waste Local Plans, and set out how the County Council will plan for the future provision of minerals and how facilities for the management of waste produced in the County will be catered for. The waste framework is being prepared jointly with Leicester City Council.
