![]() SHIRE Community Environmental Improvement GrantsSHIRE Community Environmental Improvement Grants are for parish/town councils, community
groups and schools. Eligible projects include:
Who
can apply?
Any parish or town council, school, charity or properly constituted community group. What grants are available?
Grants of up to 50% of the cost for community environmental improvements are available There is no minimum value for the works. However, applicants must be able to provide
the balance of the money for the works, either from their own funds or other grant schemes or a mixture
of both. Applicants must be able to demonstrate on their application form how they intend to raise the
balance of funding.
In any one financial year the maximum accumulated value of SHIRE Community Environmental
Improvement Grants and Historic Buildings Grants awarded to any organisation or individual shall not
exceed £10,000.
Consultancy fees incurred when professional advice is sought, including habitat
surveys, in preparing the application and implementing the project may also be payable.
Grants put local people at the heart of community involvement with the choice, decision
making and leadership for community improvements placed firmly with communities themselves. The process
