Common Assessment Framework (CAF) and related Lead Professional (LP) guidance are the key tools to support the integrated processes required to deliver 'Every Child Matters'.
The CAF is:
"To become the main assessment tool to support inter-agency referral and multi-agency working.…... Where a child is being supported by more than one agency, possibly involving specialist assessment, the CAF will provide the structure to summarise information from different agencies into a single, simple format. This document highlights how to present a CAF to a forum and what to expect from the chair and forum attendees.
