What is the children’s rights service?
- This is a service for children who are or have been in care in Leicestershire.
- Children’s Rights Officers are employed by Leicestershire Children & Young People's Service to make sure that children and young people in care know their rights and are fairly treated.
- The Children’s Rights Officer offers information, help and advice over the telephone, by letter or by visiting young people.
- The Children’s Rights Officer can also attend meetings, help young people get legal advice and support young people when they make complaints about Children & Young People's Services.
- If you live in one of Leicestershire’s children’s homes then you will be able to meet with the Children’s Rights Officer when she makes her visits.
