Hinckley partnership is currently working through the BID academy with emda funding (Business Improvement District). If a successful vote is achieved then sustainable funding via an additional levy on the business rates will be used to carry out improvements to the town centre as prioritised by the businesses. These could include environmental works, marketing and safety campaigns. The town centre partnership also has a full calendar of events throughout the year including continental markets, Rally of the Midlands and the Mardi Gras. A quarterly newsletter is produced to keep businesses up to date. Money from the Market Towns Programme has been used for finger post signage, hanging basket stands, jitty way signage, a town centre sign and gateway signage to Upper Castle St.
