In 2003 five new Technology Suites, in 3 blocks, were completed, at a cost of approximately £1.6M. This created an additional 1,130 m2 (12,160 sq. ft) of lettable floor space. This project was undertaken with the close collaboration and assistance of East Midlands Development Agency.
Features include;
- A new glass fronted reception/atrium with feature lift to improve the entrance of the Centre.
- An extension to the rear of the existing Centre creating a further two units of 212 m2 (2,280 sq. ft) each.
- A Technology Suite in a free standing block of 280 m2 (3,000 sq. ft.).
- Two Technology Suites in a free standing block, one suite 280 m2 (3,000 sq. ft) and another of 146 m2 (1,570 sq. ft).
The space inside the new free standing units is of a good office standard, and could enable laboratory/prototype work as required. The larger units are available as a whole or split by floor, while the smaller free standing unit is intended for a single let occupant.
