Sculptor’s new creations to be unveiled at Beacon Hill
Visitors to an award-winning Leicestershire beauty spot are invited to take a look at a new array of four wooden sculptures.
At 10.30am on Saturday 7th December (lower car park; £2.50) chainsaw sculptor Peter Leadbeater will unveil one of the new creations which show a fun side to Beacon Hill’s environment and wildlife.
Peter created the works during the past year to provide a stunning addition to the seven sculptures already on display at the park, which this year successfully retained its Green Flag status. The pieces include a representation of the ‘Old Man of Beacon’, a flower-carved bench, a sheep, and an abstract globe.
People who come along on Saturday will see the unveiling of one of the sculptures by county councillor David Snartt and Peter will talk about his latest work.
