Improvement works at Market Bosworth Country Park this winter
Improvement works are being carried out at Market Bosworth Country Park this February and March. New footpaths will be laid, and existing paths resurfaced. Work is also being carried out on the children's play area which will be closed from Monday 17th February until the work is completed (due end of March). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your patience.
New volunteer days at Donisthorpe Woodland Park
Do you want to be part of a new weekend volunteer group at Donisthorpe Woodland Park?
We are launching our brand new weekend sessions with two special events taking place on Sunday 9th March and Sunday 4th May 2014, 10am - 3pm, at Donisthorpe Woodland Park.
Both days will introduce you to a typical volunteer day where you will be able to try out the traditional art of hazel coppicing and have the opportunity to work with Peter Wood from Greenwood Days. On the March event you will turn the cut hazel into products such as rustic stick furniture, and on the May event you will create items using willow weaving techniques.
All tools and equipment provided but please bring a packed lunch and wear outdoor work clothes. Pre-booking is essential due to limited places. For more details and to book your place, contact us on 0116 305 5000 or firstname.lastname@example.org

Conservation volunteering is a great way to get involved with your local country park.
If you would like to help our rangers carry out practical conservation tasks whilst keeping fit, meeting people, learning new skills as well as developing your knowledge of the countryside and how we try to improve our parks for visitors and wildlife, then please contact us.
New volunteers are always welcome to come along and join in with us, but please get in touch to let us know in advance. No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a desire to get involved.
