| Activities |
Pupils learn about the lives of local people on the Homefront during the Second World War by investigating original wartime artefacts. The session is based around the objects belonging to a
fictional Loughborough family and covers a number of topics relating to the Home Front (Make Do & Mend, Home Guard, Evacuees etc.). Wartime themed gallery activities are also provided to accompany this session. Include a trip to the Carillon War Memorial Museum (in the park) and make a full day visit (subject
to availability). Activities usually involve
1 x 45 minute session (per group), plus accompanying
independent gallery activities.
