Business Continuity Exercise
This exercise provides an opportunity to:
- Improve awareness of Business Continuity issues amongst Senior Managers within your organisation
- Identify gaps and / or shortfalls in your current Business Continuity processes
- Share best practice with other organisations in your industry
If you are a supplier / provider to the Council, participating in an exercise will be meeting the requirements for your organisation to provide the Council with assurance and evidence that adequate resilience planning is in place for your organisation.
During the exercise, a scenario will be developed. At various points in the scenario, you and your colleagues will need to make decisions about how your organisation will respond to the situation based on the contents of your Business Continuity Plan and your own judgement. This will be followed by a short discussion for teams to share their ideas.
The session will conclude with a de-brief covering the main points arising during the exercise. These will be detailed more fully in a post-exercise report which will be circulated to all participants.
