Big Switch Off Volunteers

Everyone has a role to play to help save energy, money and the environment! The households across three authorities could save over £13m by switching off things on standby and unnecessary lighting. You could play a vital role in raising awareness about this by representing:

The campaign can only succeed by people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland taking responsibility to save energy money and the environment. To help with your role and support you we will provide downloadable resources. You can do this in your own time to help the good cause. To volunteer you don’t need to have detailed knowledge of energy efficiency, we’ll provide simple to understand resources through website. There will be regular communication with the Big Switch Off team, who will be your first point of contact if you have any enquiries, request or comments.

We aim to analyse how we made a difference through this campaign. We’ll quantify energy saved with the help of Central Networks and carry out behavioural change impact of the campaign.

Your commitment can help to save energy, money and the environment. All the volunteers will be presented a participation certificate as a good gesture to their support for the campaign.
